An unfailing soul

portrait and a poem from a book of poetry by V.P. Singh
V. P Singh:
25 June 1931 - 27 November 2008

I rise
On a trail of
Internal destruction
All heights
Are attained that way
Vistas fade away
Relationships of the eyes are lost
I sustain myself on pure
calculation
I dare not descend
Lest I burn out
By the resistance
Of the atmosphere.
Who condones
Falls from the heights
So, high
Lonely and alone
I encircle the sky.

(Sehar pays homage on the sad demise of Late Shree V.P. Singh and salutes his
un-subdudeable spirit for fighting against social exclusion. We condemn
the current terrorist attacks in Mumbai.)
